Who are we & what makes us different.
Hey I’m Kate Keep, Photographer and Creative Director behind Candér.
Candér was created from a frustration with safe, interchangeable brand imagery, and a belief that visuals should actually do something, not just exist.
Before Candér, I spent years working in systems thinking and large-scale organisational redesign, working with government to understand how strategy, management thinking, and behaviours shape outcomes. Alongside that, I’ve built a decade-long career in photography and cinematic storytelling. Two worlds that rarely collide but together, they’re my edge.
Candér sits where strategy meets creativity. I don’t just show up and take photos, I take the time to understand how your business works, what makes it different, and what you need your audience to feel. From there, I translate that strategy into intentional, cinematic imagery that aligns with your goals and cuts through the noise.
The name Candér comes from the idea of radical candour. The courage to say what needs to be said. That philosophy underpins everything I create. No dilution. No filler. No cookie-cutter brands and visuals.
I’m not a jack-of-all-trades, and I don’t pretend to be. Instead, I lead creative direction and strategy, then depending on your needs I connect your brand with a trusted network of experts: graphic designers, filmmakers, social media managers, each exceptional in their field. We work collaboratively to ensure your brand is visually cohesive, considered, and covered across every touchpoint.
